How it
actually works.

Human chorionic gonadotropin is a glycoprotein that mimics luteinising hormone, binding the LH/CG receptor on gonadal tissue. In research contexts it is studied for its ability to stimulate endogenous steroidogenesis along the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, sustaining testicular signalling where exogenous androgens would otherwise suppress it.
