Overview
NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every living cell, central to hundreds of metabolic reactions. It exists in two forms — NAD+ (oxidised) and NADH (reduced) — and shuttles electrons through the electron transport chain, directly powering ATP synthesis. NAD+ levels decline substantially with age.
Research Context
Research on NAD+ has intensified significantly following the discovery of its role as a substrate for sirtuins (SIRT1–SIRT7) — the longevity-associated protein deacetylases — and for PARP enzymes involved in DNA repair. Animal studies have shown that restoring NAD+ levels reverses age-associated physiological decline across multiple tissues including muscle, liver, and brain. Human clinical studies have documented improvements in muscle function, mitochondrial capacity, insulin sensitivity, and markers of metabolic health following NAD+ or precursor supplementation. It is also a required cofactor for the enzyme NAMPT, which governs the NAD+ salvage pathway. Research interest spans aging biology, metabolic disease, neuroprotection, and exercise physiology.
Oral Capsule Format
NAD+ is highly stable as a small molecule and well-characterised in terms of oral bioavailability. Biohacker’s capsule formulation delivers a research-grade dose in a controlled-release enteric format, protecting the compound from acidic degradation and ensuring duodenal uptake.

NAD+ at 99.8{bc6192475b1f7ab2a319df0d74882f1947535342342376b459ce77de5d749ac5} is exactly what cellular energy metabolism research requires. Biohacker’s capsule format and documentation standard make it the cleanest oral NAD+ source I’ve used. Ordered alongside MOTS-c for a combined mitochondrial protocol.

Strong purity, clean documentation, fast dispatch. The COA is published and verifiable — not just a number on a label. For sirtuin pathway research, the quality of the NAD+ substrate matters and this hits the required threshold.
