Overview

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with the sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it has undergone clinical evaluation in Russia and Ukraine for generalised anxiety disorder and cognitive impairment.

Selank’s primary pharmacological profile is anxiolytic without the sedation, tolerance, or dependency associated with benzodiazepines.
